In this issue, founders can see which deals are getting funded, by whom, and for how much. This week was strong, with 29 deals totaling just under $1.6 billion in venture funding.
Another highlight was the number of deals completed outside the U.S. Founders outside the U.S. often feel overlooked. Not this week. Deals closed in Brazil, Canada, France, Israel, Japan, Switzerland, and the Philippines. Congratulations to the team at OneLot in the Philippines on raising $3.3M USD in seed capital.
Founders everywhere, keep your heads up, there is capital available globally, even for seed rounds in distant markets.
First, we will take a closer look at the top two deals, then review the rest.
Deal of The Week – Armis
Deal of the week: Armis raised $435M USD in Pre-IPO led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, bringing the company’s valuation to $6.1B USD.
Armis sells a cyber exposure management platform that inventories every connected asset across IT, OT, IoT, and clinical environments, rates risk, and automates remediation through existing security tools. The company was founded in 2016 by CEO Yevgeny Dibrov and CTO Nadir Izrael, and is based in San Francisco, United States. Armis reports traction with more than 40% of the Fortune 100, including 7 of the Fortune 10, and says it recently surpassed $300M USD ARR.
CapitalG participated in the round, with Evolution Equity Partners joining. Management says proceeds will support product development, market expansion, and selective M&A as the company advances a three‑year plan toward $1B USD ARR and an IPO. Prior financing includes a $200M USD Series D at $4.2B USD in October 2024 and Insight Partners’ majority acquisition at a $1.1B USD valuation in 2020. The watch item is integration, since Armis has executed multiple acquisitions while scaling and preparing for the public markets.
Deal of the Week – Runner Up – Beacon Software
Runner up deal of the week: Beacon Software raised $250M USD in Series B led by General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and D1 Capital, the second largest disclosed round this week, bringing the company’s valuation to $1B USD.
Beacon acquires and operates vertical software and services companies, then embeds shared AI, engineering, product, and go to market support to modernize workflows and growth. The company was founded in 2024 by CEO Nilam Ganenthiran and CTO Divya Gupta and is based in Toronto, Canada, with U.S. offices in New York and San Francisco. Portfolio examples include Let’s Camp, PowerUp, and Viefund. Across its holdings, Beacon reports thousands of enterprise customers and over one million active users.
Total funding now stands at $335M USD. Prior backers include Amar Varma, Darren Farber, Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, Fidji Simo, Rafael Corrales, Scott Wu, and Tony Xu. The company says this round will fund additional acquisitions and expansion of central technology teams. Management also says Beacon is profitable and is purchasing about one company every two weeks. A watch item is integration and performance risk at roll up pace, and the long term returns of this model remain untested.
